Price Increase
Due to the increase in raw data costs, we must unfortunately raise the cost of our services to you. We have avoided raising our prices for as long as possible, but we can no longer prolong the inevitable.
With effect from Monday 15th February our services will be charged as follows:
Basic Member
£8 inc VAT
Basic Non-member
£12 inc VAT

We still believe our services represent exceptional value for money and on average we are at least 20% cheaper than our leading competitors.
If you’re looking to take the risk out of renting then you should always carry out regular checks on your new and existing tenants.
Simply enter details of the new or existing tenant and you can find out if they:
- Have County Court Judgments
- Have been made bankrupt or are insolvent
- Have NOT lived at the previous address given
- Are NOT who they claim to be
- Are NOT employed and/or earning the amount they claim to be earning
- Have experienced problems with previous landlords/letting agents

Both tenant checks have been designed to reduce as much of the risk associated with residential lettings. The service you use depends on your approach to risk assessment.
Basic Credit Report
We recommend all landlords undertake at the very least a basic tenant check before handing over the keys.

The Basic Tenant Check will provide landlords with the confidence to proceed knowing the tenant is who they claim to be and any irregularities that you may wish to consider.
Full Tenant Check
The Full Tenant Check combines the results of the Basic Tenant Check with:
- References obtained from employer (including income confirmation)
- References obtained from previous landlord (or letting agent)
- Confirmation of previous property ownership
- Confirmation of bank account details
We also provide an affordability calculation so that you can determine the prospective tenants’ ability to meet the rental payment commitment.
How much does it cost?
You DO NOT need to be a member of the NLA to use NLA Tenant Check however verified members will receive discounted prices.
